See dozens of takeoffs and landings as we drive all around this corner of this beautiful island. Also: the best runway-side bar, all about the massive pillars that hold up the engineering marvel that is the extended portion of the runway, try some pastel de nata and some probably very dangerous poncha, do a little backcountry hike (but also next to the runway), see the mountaintop vantage point that makes it look like A320s are landing on an aircraft carrier, and get a unique level of insight and access into everything about this incredible airport. Bonus points if you can correctly identify the number of animals that make cameos in this video – it’s a surprisingly high number.
