Putting Starlink to the test on a special airBaltic flight (Riga–Riga)

Join us onboard airBaltic’s launch flight for its brand new Starlink inflight internet service. The Latvian airline has become the first airline in Europe to offer free and fast Starlink internet and we’re flying Riga to Riga for about an hour and a half this evening to put it to the test.

Beforehand we’ve got a space-themed gate party including comments from CEO Martin Gauss, and we get to board via a specially decorated jetbridge. Then enjoy the incredible space-age light show onboard the airBaltic A220, the party-like atmosphere as we get up into the air above Latvia, and even a special meal with space cake and champagne. Oh and we tested the WiFi speeds too. All a very fun evening in the sky, so come along, join us, and let us know what you think!

How Rolls-Royce Jet Engines Are Built

In this video we take you deep inside the Rolls Royce jet engine site in Derby, England to look at how these state-of-the-art jet engines are built, tested, inspected and improved. In particular we’ll be looking at the Trent 1000 (which powers the 787) and how Rolls Royce is improving reliability and durability by swapping out High Pressure Turbine components. We’ll also check out their most advanced engine inspection technology as we get a demo of their boroscoping method.
