Meeting Lufthansa’s Centennial 747 at Frankfurt!

Today we welcomed a very special visitor airside at Frankfurt Airport: Lufthansa’s Boeing 747-8 D-ABYN in the airline’s stunning centennial (100 year) livery, fresh out of the paint shop in San Bernardino (SBD).

We captured its low pass and then landing at FRA (possibly one of the smoothest ever witnessed) from right next to the runway, then raced in to the stand where we had the chance to get up close to this beauty and take plenty of shots.

We also filmed plenty of action around FRA which is always a highlight – lots of 747s, A340s and much more, taxiing, taking off, and landing.
