In the cockpit on the FlyNamibia ERJ-145

Join us for an amazing flight deck ride with FlyNamibia on the powerful Embraer ERJ-145 as we take a domestic hop from Windhoek’s Eros Airport up to Ondangwa in the north of the Namibia.

We’re in the jumpseat for the ride up and in the cabin (last row next to the engine of course) for the flight back. We’ll chat with the two very experienced Namibian pilots, both of whom are captains, and we’ll see what it’s like to fly the jet service within Namibia. Plus we’ll learn one or two pretty interesting facts about the Embraer ERJ-145, which with its excellent power-to-weight ratio is an ideal airplane for serving the hot and high airports of Namibia (especially Windhoek Eros).

Our crazy planespotting mission in Tokyo

While we were in Tokyo recently we wanted to find the most exciting way to go planespotting around Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) — and we found it! Instead of sticking to the usual spots, we took a water taxi out onto Tokyo Bay to get up close to the runways.
