Flying with the Moomins to DFW | Finnair A350

In this video we’re giving away two business class tickets from any Finnair US gateway to Helsinki. Watch all the way through to find the instructions for how to enter. We’ll be announcing the winner in one weeks’ time on March 31!

Hop aboard Finnair’s A350-900 OH-LWP with us as we fly from Helsinki (HEL) to Dallas (DFW), for a very special celebration of the Finnish carrier’s centennial. This is the first of two aircraft to receive the special Moomin livery (featuring Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden) and this will be the first time this aircraft visits the US with Moomins in tow. We fly in the new AirLounge business class for this ten hour journey and we’re greeted on arrival by many of you who were kind enough to come out in the chilly weather to film and photograph our landing. Thanks also to DFW Airport and the social media team there for capturing some beautiful shots of us coming in. We then head over to Founders Plaza to meet up with some of you, our viewers, subscribers and followers, and give away a bunch of Finnair, DFW Airport and Flightradar24 swag. A long and fun day!

3 hours (transatlantic!) in the Dash 8 cockpit

We’re going transatlantic on the workhorse Dash 8-200 with Air Greenland – flying from the brand new Nuuk International Airport in Greenland to Reykjavik’s Keflavik Airport in Iceland (KEF). And we’re sitting in the jumpseat which means we have 3 hours on this very-long-haul-for-a-turboprop over the ice cap and remote east Greenland plus the Atlantic Ocean.

Flying the A340 from Antarctica to Africa!

It’s time to leave Antarctica and head home after 8 incredible days on the 7th continent with White Desert. That means we’re greeting the inbound A340-300 (operated by Hi-Fly) as it lands at Wolf’s Fang Runway on a beautiful bluebird day with almost no wind. Then it’s time to climb onboard and make the 5.5 hour trek back to South Africa.
