In this video we fly on Finnair’s A350 in the new business class, on the recently launched Helsinki to Tokyo Haneda (HND) route. Since the start of the Ukraine war and the closure of Russian airspace to European carriers, this flight, which used to fly over Siberia and take 9 hours on average, now takes 12.5 to 13 hours instead.
Along the way we check out Finnair’s Platinum Wing lounge and its sauna, test out the newest Finnair business class seat on a much longer route, and look at some of the Flightradar24 data we have for these Finnair flights to Tokyo, what kind of routes they’ve been taking and how things have changed since the beginning of the year.
