Flying the legendary DC-3!

In this video we take a very special sightseeing flight aboard Daisy, an 80-year old DC-3 maintained and kept airworthy by an organization in Sweden called Flygande Veteraner. SE-CFP flew in D-Day and later flew for SAS, and it wears a fetching classic SAS livery to this day.

This flight was part of a visit by the Flightradar24 team for its summer party, so you’ll also see a number of the FR24 crew here too. Today’s flight is a 25-minute tour above Lake Mälaren and the cities of Eskilstuna and Västerås in Sweden, just west of Stockholm. Enjoy!

Our crazy planespotting mission in Tokyo

While we were in Tokyo recently we wanted to find the most exciting way to go planespotting around Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) — and we found it! Instead of sticking to the usual spots, we took a water taxi out onto Tokyo Bay to get up close to the runways.
