Today Gabe is flying London Heathrow to Philadelphia onboard the brand new American Airlines 787-9 (78P) with its Flagship Business suite. And what better opportunity to take a look at some of the Flightradar24 data for transatlantic flights, take a look at trends, and just observe how incredible the lineup of yellow aircraft icons is on any given day across the Atlantic.

We’ll also take a look at some of the ways we like to use the FR24 app while inflight (thankful for speedy onboard WiFi). How do you use Flightradar24 on your travel days?

How Rolls-Royce Jet Engines Are Built

In this video we take you deep inside the Rolls Royce jet engine site in Derby, England to look at how these state-of-the-art jet engines are built, tested, inspected and improved. In particular we’ll be looking at the Trent 1000 (which powers the 787) and how Rolls Royce is improving reliability and durability by swapping out High Pressure Turbine components. We’ll also check out their most advanced engine inspection technology as we get a demo of their boroscoping method.
