We get tons of apron action and close-up planespotting at Frankfurt, we catch the arrival of the A330neo, and then meet it at its remote stand where it drops off the ferry flight crew. We chat with First Officer Jana who landed the plane today, find out a fun fact about the special pins Condor pilots are issued, discover more evidence that Condor is the best airline for matching colors, then go into the hangar to watch it get towed in tail first and begin its bridging service, getting it all set and ready (and signed off by authorities) ahead of its first passenger service scheduled in five days time. We speak to maintenance technicians and watch them do their thing as they begin this complex process – everything from placing the headrest covers to scanning each and every life vest using some nifty RFID technology.
