Cockpit night flight to Nuuk | Full Flight Dash 8 ASMR

We’re doing it a little differently this time: no music, no narration, barely any editing as we fly from Kangerlussuaq to Nuuk at night, under the moonlight, in the cockpit of the Air Greenland Dash 8. That’s right, this is 48 minutes of turboprop ambience. Whether you’d like to see every last flight deck detail of a Dash 8 flight in Greenland, living the experience as we lived it; or just drift catch some ASMR vibes and drift into a deeply relaxed state of mind with the pleasantly buzzing props and some easy conversation and air traffic control – come fly down the coast of Greenland with us.

Other highlights: chatting about the new runway at Nuuk, the turbulent weather of late, planning a non-standard approach and the night view arriving in Nuuk. Plus landing on the brand new Runway 22 at GOH.

Recorded December 7, 2022. Air Greenland Dash 8-200 OY-GRJ. Flight GL1559.

3 hours (transatlantic!) in the Dash 8 cockpit

We’re going transatlantic on the workhorse Dash 8-200 with Air Greenland – flying from the brand new Nuuk International Airport in Greenland to Reykjavik’s Keflavik Airport in Iceland (KEF). And we’re sitting in the jumpseat which means we have 3 hours on this very-long-haul-for-a-turboprop over the ice cap and remote east Greenland plus the Atlantic Ocean.
