Cessna Grand Caravan Adventure to Kenya’s Masai Mara with Safarilink

In this video we fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to a small dirt airstrip in Kenya’s Masai Mara, see what it takes to keep wildlife off the runways, and then head back to Nairobi with a couple of stops enroute.

Airfields visited include Mara Naboisho (Ol Seki Airstrip), Olari Airstrip, and Mara North Conservancy Airstrip. Our ride for all segments is the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, an impressive single-engine workhorse. The airline: Safarilink. Plus a bonus look at some of the incredible wildlife in the Ol Kinyei conservancy and surroundings. This was quite an adventure, both flying and otherwise.

Embraer E190 cockpit: flying domestic in Mongolia

Today we’re flying in the cockpit with Hunnu Air again, this time on the Embraer 190 on a domestic roundtrip to Murun Airport (MXV) in Mongolia’s beautiful north, not far from the Russian border. We’re on board with the lovely Hunnu crew and get to see what Mongolian domestic operations look like with all the usual flight deck fun plus a walkaround in between the flights.

Condor A330NEO Flight Deck to Mauritius!

In this very special video we’re onboard Condor’s A330NEO with the pilots documenting the nearly 11-hour flight from Frankfurt (FRA) to Mauritius (MRU) from the jumpseat. With a crew that is especially eager to explain the inner workings of the aircraft and everything to do with a flight like this, and a very interesting route out over Cairo and much of East Africa before heading out over the Indian Ocean, this is a truly memorable learning experience full of great aviation knowledge and beautiful views on a full moon evening too!
