In this video, part 5 of our Greenland series, we hop back aboard Air Greenland’s trusty Dash 8 and take it for a flight down to Nuuk via Kangerlussuaq. We’re in the flight deck for the first leg, enjoying more views of icebergs on departure and then hearing from the pilots about the challenges (and the appeal) of flying in Greenland.
Then we miss our next flight, but the following morning we continue the journey to Nuuk, Greenland’s capital, this time in the passenger cabin. Make sure to stick around for this part because we are treated to another gorgeous day with incredible views of snowy mountains below. The landing in Nuuk is especially awe-inspiring, and gives us an aerial view of the runway and airport construction there, due to be complete in 2024. Join us for a couple of days of proper Greenlandic flying!
