A landmark moment for Air India. This video captures the unveiling of Air India’s first line-fit, bespoke 787-9 delivered direct from Boeing and featuring the all-new cabin interiors that will roll out across the airline’s entire 787 fleet.

It’s the latest step in Air India’s transformation and the start of an exciting new era for the flag carrier which is working to completely reinvent itself and become a truly world-class airline. To mark the occasion, we flew on this first 787-9 (VT-AWA) on special charter flight AI789 from Delhi to Hyderabad’s historic Begumpet Airport in advance of the Wings India Airshow.

How Rolls-Royce Jet Engines Are Built

In this video we take you deep inside the Rolls Royce jet engine site in Derby, England to look at how these state-of-the-art jet engines are built, tested, inspected and improved. In particular we’ll be looking at the Trent 1000 (which powers the 787) and how Rolls Royce is improving reliability and durability by swapping out High Pressure Turbine components. We’ll also check out their most advanced engine inspection technology as we get a demo of their boroscoping method.
