Video: Flying United’s unique ultra-premium CRJ-550 regional jet in First Class

In this video we take another hour’s flight over the frozen north of the United States, this time from Detroit (DTW) to Newark (EWR) onboard United’s CRJ-550 regional jet in First Class. United has taken the CRJ-700 and removed a bunch of seats to create this new, very spacious regional offering.
There’s a big First and Economy Plus section, with just a few rows of regular economy seating, plus a big snack bar and most importantly, three large luggage compartments so nobody has to gate-check their bags again. If only all CRJs could be configured this way. We’re in seat 1A, a solo seat in First Class. For regional jets it doesn’t get much better than this. Join us.
