Video: Finnair changes the game: 8 hours in the new AirLounge business class to JFK

In this video we have one of the first in-depth and up-close looks at what it’s like to fly Finnair’s new long-haul business class, dubbed the AirLounge, on an eight hour A330 flight from Stockholm to New York JFK. Why is it so special?

Because the business seat doesn’t recline! But there’s much more news than that across both hard and soft product. This innovative approach saves weight and introduces a whole new paradigm for what a business class seat can be – but does it work? That’s what we set out to find out. Finnair has rolled out its new cabins and service offerings to a handful of A330 and A350 aircraft on just a few long-haul routes now. That means a new premium economy cabin (which we also take a look at here), refreshed economy cabin, and all new food and drink offerings. Watch the video to see what’s been improved, and just what it’s like to sit in these seats for hours at a time. What do you think? Would you like to sit in this for a long-haul flight, or is it a little too innovative and unusual for your liking?
