The Boeing 777X is Boeing’s newest long-haul aircraft, promising improved fuel efficiency, longer range, and enhanced passenger comfort with its larger windows and quieter engines. However, with challenges like delays in certification, competition from Airbus’s A350, and shifting airline industry dynamics due to economic and environmental factors, its future remains uncertain. Will these advancements be enough to make the 777X a success story? Or will the challenges outweigh its potential, impacting its market performance and acceptance by airlines worldwide? Do you think the Boeing 777X will thrive or face turbulence ahead?

It’s going to be real hard for them to come back from all of the reputation damage of the 737MAX. The 787 isn’t perfect either!
It will be fine, so is the 787 (smoothest flight experience I ever had, aside from my first airplane fight in a 747 )
Give me an A350 any day of the week. The retractable wingtips is a cool feature but its not as good looking as the A350.
It seems to have taken forever for get this airplane ready. It’s a great looking airplane, but kinda looks a little dated now since we have the new shape 787 and A350 noses. 787 also had teething problems so it might be the same with this bird…
I’m not a fan of the constant stretching and retrofitting of Boeing jets. This is another 737Max issue waiting to happen with too many complexities that have delayed certification repeatedly. Thankfully, certification is no longer for Boeing to do on their own!!
With the extraordinary money spent to redesign, retrofit, create new wings and other parts, they could have started from scratch and built an entirely new plane, or retrofitted the 747 with a redesign/recreation which is essentially what it took for this plane. Boeing is missing the mark with the 7-shi**y-7Max and the 777x.
will be OK if they let a different manufacturer finish it up…
Boeing are working overtime to clean up. Astronauts stuck up there. The HR issues, this that and the other. It was only a matter of time until many of these issues appeared. Their history is amazing. Let’s hope it gets back on its flight path. The launch pads for the space projects are 11 miles from my house. Great to see and great to feel on launch days!
I’m with Marshall. Feeling quite wary of anything Boeing overall at the present time.
It can be a succes only if Boeing start ti improve whit the 737 max
There are definitely headwinds for Boeing in many facets of the aeronautical world.
Hopefully there will internal changes with quality in particular.
Starliner didn’t help…
As a fact, many factors are better about it (range, capacity, etc) but many people don’t trust Boeing much yet to buy it, esp with all the delays and stuff. (I’m an airbus fan)
I think the Boeing 777X is a strange airplane but I am not quite sure about it.
I’m more confident with the Airbus A350
the 777x is my favorite airliner, can’t wait for it to come out and will look great when delivered to the airlines. I love the wingtips and how they can fold, and the GIANT GE9X engines. but I’m also looking forward to a350-1000 coming to Qantas for project sunrise Sydney-New York non-stop. but both are awesome!
