My aviation highlight for 2024 was seeing the US Navy’s EP-3 Aires II landing at RAF Mildenhall after completing it’s last operational flight the day before. First time for me to see the aircraft type!
Flew on 9H-FOR, on the route PEG-BGY, a more than 33 years old 737-400 still in service!

My aviation highlight was being able to sit in the cabin of a Detla Boeing 717-200 after landing back at ATL after leaving from midway when my summer vacation was over coolest thing ever!
Flying AKL-DOH on Qatar A350 (A7-ANH), and DOH-ORD on a 777, all QSuite. Absolutely the best flights of the many I have taken. Gracious service from the curb to landings, really good food and drink. They made me feel special (and I’m not). Yes, it’s the long way around from AKL to ORD, in fact, each flight was longer than AKL-ORD direct but that was the idea! Maximise the experience. Combined with a lovely four day stopover it was the aviation experience of a lifetime, and I’m thankful to have been able to do it.
BTW, I preferred the A350 to the 777. Much quieter and felt fresher at the end.

Acil İniş Denemesi: Uçak, aldığı hasar nedeniyle Aktau Havalimanı’na acil iniş yapmaya çalışmış, ancak iniş sırasında düşmüştür.

I flew on four aircraft from the 1930s and 40s. A DC3 (LN-WND), a Tiger Moth (G-ANZZ), a Dragon Rapide (G-AIDL) and a Harvard (G-TSIX). All highlights, but if I had to choose one it would be flying in G-TSIX. Not only was it exhilarating, but I had butterflies in my stomach before boarding, That doesn’t happen often to me now.
For me it was 3 events one of witch is when I was a a 3 day camp and we heard a roaring getting louder and louder and then out of nowhere 2 F-35s flew right over my camp . I wish I had my camera. The second event is when I was at my gate waiting for my flight from Denver to Orlando… the swa 737 I figured out that it was our flight and we got to fly on the Louisiana one livery.and lastly the 2024 air show at hill afb with the thunder birds and B2 flyby.
Going to a flight museum and seeing George bush’s airplane, seeing an air show with multiple C-17s and a c-5 and also multiple fighter jets doing fly-bys and flying in formation.

Ah bien: je vois bien que je ne suis pas le seul à avoir penser prendre ma douche dans un A 380 ! Je trouve ça tellement drôle !!! Maintenant, ce sera lequel des deux qui prendra sa douche en premier !!! 😲😂😂💞😉

Flying to Skiathos.
Saw a f-35 lightning and the blue angles at an airshow in Owensboro, KY.
On 17th November 2024 my wife and I were processing our automatic check-in for our B787 Singapore Airlines flight from Adelaide, Australia to Singapore when we were called aside and advised that we were upgraded to Business Class. A very pleasant surprise and a very comfortable 7 hour leg on our journey to London Heathrow.
I went to New York from France, Lyon.
In london airport, i saw a Boeing 787 for the first time !!! It was m’y dream !!!

Finally flying Emirates (MCO-DXB) for the first time. This is after flying 94 different airlines since 1966. Yes, I have kept track of airlines flown, airports (119) landed or taken off from, and countries visited (59).
In September 2024 I saw the KLM Boeing 777-300ER PH-BVA in the “orange pride” livery on finals to Schiphol. One of my favourite liveries.
One of the highlights for me during 2024.
Before they were sold off by the owners, I finally stumped up the cash to go for a flight in a Kittyhawk including aeros, then a few weeks later I paid more to go up in a Packard Marlon powered P51 Mustang including MAD AEROS. Oh My God. Both exhilarating experiences. Both places from the 1940s, both immaculate and both piloted by amazing people. Something to be cherished!
