Founded in 1926, United Airlines (UA/UAL) is a major U.S. airline. It merged with Continental Airlines in 2010 making it the third-largest airline in the world. It currently operates a fleet of over 830 aircraft and has hubs at Chicago O’Hare, Denver, Guam, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco and Washington Dulles. It was also a founding member of the Star Alliance which is the largest airline alliance in the World.
