British Airways and Chicago-O’Hare Airport Inaugurate A380 Service

On 4 May, British Airways inaugurated the first regular A380 service to Chicago, beginning daily service between London-Heathrow Airport and O’Hare International Airport. The first regular service by the A380 to Chicago comes 10 years after the aircraft entered service and two years after the Chicago airport first became A380 capable. (more…)

The Flights Behind the Photo

On 12 November, photographer Seth Jaworski captured the departure queue for Runway 34L at Sydney Airport. While the identity of a few of the aircraft was readily apparent, we wanted to see if we could identify all six aircraft in the photograph. We turned to our Global Playback feature for the answer. Planespotting in St Maarten Just Got Even Better

Planespotting at Princess Juliana Airport in Sint Maarten, known to aviation enthusiasts around the world for its spectacular low approach over Maho Beach, just got even better. Our friends at PTZtv recently launched a high-definition webcam located at the Sunset Bar and Grill right next to the runway. In addition to HD streaming video, this camera includes live audio as well as the ability to listen to live air traffic control audio. (more…)
