Airbus celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special formation flight

On 29 May, Airbus began its 50th anniversary celebrations with a special formation flight in the skies above France. Sadly, the weather did not cooperate for a planned flypast in Toulouse. Taking part in the special flight were the A220, A319neo, A330-900, A350-1000, A380, and BelugaXL. The Airbus formation was also met by the French Air Force acrobatic team Patrouille de France. Watch Air France’s stunning air-to-air film featuring its Boeing 787

After taking delivery of their fifth Boeing 787 last November, Air France partnered Daher and Airborne Films to capture stunning air-to-air footage before the aircraft entered commercial service. We’ve posted the final version of Air France’s Boeing 787 air-to-air film below, along with a much longer behind-the-scenes version that shows the close coordination of the two flight crews. French ATC Strike to Affect Flights, 6-10 March

French Area Control Centers participating in strike action between 6-10 March

A multi-day strike by French air traffic controllers in the Brest and Bordeaux area control centers (ACC) will affect traffic in and around France beginning 6 March at 0500 UTC through 10 March 1900 UTC. The strike will additionally include controllers from the Marseille ACC from 07 March 0500 UTC to 10 March 0500 UTC. During the strike, traffic that normally transits the ACCs and some traffic to and from airports in the sectors will be affected. (more…)
