Flightradar24 data regarding Aeroflot flight 1492

On 5 May, Aeroflot flight 1492 returned to Moscow not long after takeoff after suffering an unknown failure and a hard landing resulting in a large fire. Russian authorities report that 41 people have died.

Crash of Iran Aseman Airlines Flight 3704

Iran Aseman Airlines flight 3704 crashed in the mountainous area north of its destination of Yasuj. According to our data the flight departed Tehran about 04:33 UTC (08:03L). The flight was due to land in Yasuj at 09:50 local time. Flight 3704 was operated by ATR 72-212 EP-ATS (MSN 391), first delivered in 1993. (more…)

Saratov Airlines Flight 703 Crashed Outside of Moscow

Saratov Airlines flight 703 crashed approximately six minutes after takeoff from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport. The flight was bound for Orsk, about 1500 km southeast of Moscow. The flight was operated by an Antonov An-148-100B, registered RA-61704. The extent of Flightradar24 data is included below. (more…)

Metrojet 9268 Extended Mode-S Data Decoded

In addition to our initial data, we have decoded Extended Mode-S data from a single receiver with the best reception in the area of Metrojet flight 9268. This is additional data sent from the aircraft when requested by air traffic control. This data is raw data from the aircraft that has been decoded, but not processed, by Flightradar24. Our previously released data set was synthesized data from multiple receivers processed normally through Flightradar24 servers and did not include Extended Mode-S data. (more…)
