The Boeing 787 ‘Dreamliner’ is a twin-engine wide-body airliner with variants including the 787-8, 787-9 and 787-10. The first flight of the 787 took place in December 2009 and it was introduced into service with launch customer All Nippon Anways in October 2011. Some of the world’s largest airlines operate the 787 across a wide range of routes. There are currently two engine options for the 787 including the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 and General Electric GEnx.
