Planespotting in St Maarten Just Got Even Better

Planespotting at Princess Juliana Airport in Sint Maarten, known to aviation enthusiasts around the world for its spectacular low approach over Maho Beach, just got even better. Our friends at PTZtv recently launched a high-definition webcam located at the Sunset Bar and Grill right next to the runway. In addition to HD streaming video, this camera includes live audio as well as the ability to listen to live air traffic control audio.

PTZtv is also hosting a Flightradar24 receiver, providing enhanced coverage at Princess Juliana Airport (SXM) and helping to expand our coverage in the area. We’ve partnered with PTZtv to provide Flightradar24 access directly on the camera page, so you can track flights to and from SXM while watching live.

Here’s a sample of what the camera captures on a regular basis.

The camera’s default position looks out over the beach, but can be manually controlled for interesting arrivals or departures, like the ones below.

Arrivals and Departures

Each day a collection of interesting aircraft fly to and from Sint Maarten, including regular service on a KLM 747 and an Air France A340. We’ve listed regular arrival and departure times for a few of the larger aircraft, but be sure to check our arrival and departure boards for the most up to date information. Also check back with the camera often as interesting private flights may not appear on the arrival and departure boards.
