Video: Keeping the Fokker 50 flying: inside the last maintenance base in Europe

In this video we get an exclusive look inside one of the world’s last remaining Fokker 50 maintenance facilities. The shop, located at Malmö’s Sturup Airport in the south of Sweden, is owned and operated by Amapola Flyg, the small airline we took a flight up to the far north with back in March.

Join us as we spend some time around these Dutch beauties, chat to some of the mechanics and see how with the right know-how you can keep a Fokker 50 running like a dream well into its thirties and beyond.

Video: Delightful Airlink flights Johannesburg–Vilankulos – Trip Report

In this video join Gabe Leigh on a roundtrip from Johannesburg to Vilankulos in Mozambique and back. Outbound is on the ERJ-135 and the return is on the ERJ-170 (including a business class “solo” seat sold as economy). These are quick and simple flights but the service is exceptional considering the flight length and the scenery is even more so.

Video: Flying the legendary DC-3!

In this video we take a very special sightseeing flight aboard Daisy, an 80-year old DC-3 maintained and kept airworthy by an organization in Sweden called Flygande Veteraner. SE-CFP flew in D-Day and later flew for SAS, and it wears a fetching classic SAS livery to this day.
