Playback is now available in the Flightradar24 app

Playback is here! You can now play back all flights around the world in the Flightradar24 app. You’ll see the new Playback button in the bottom toolbar of the app after updating to the latest version in the App Store or Play Store. Just tap the button, choose a date and time (UTC) and hit start.

Accessing Playback

After updating to the latest version of the app, you’ll now see a new Playback button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Once you tap Start playback, you’ll return to the map screen where you’ll be able to adjust the playback speed anywhere from 1x to 300x real speed. You can also easily slide the time backwards or forwards and tap the calendar icon at any time to select a new date and time.

  1. Is it possible to find a particular private aircraft by registration number regardless of its location?

  2. Can you use the flight radar24 with the aeronautical charts enabled. I can do this on my laptop, but when I go to my mobile device or tablet, it dosent be available. It’s like in normal function, I have the charts section enabled, but when I go to playback function, the charts disappears.

  3. I cannot find anything describing how to use the Playback function to identify/show on-screen the path an aircraft has taken during flight. In other words, a trail behind the craft that shows what the craft has been flying above. A screenshot of this information can be handy when submitting MUFON Field Investigator Reports.

    Thanks,

    1. Playback has been available on the web site for many years. Just tap the Playback button in the bottom menu.
