Live from Las Vegas: our first automated live stream

  • 100% automated live stream, 24/7/365 from Las Vegas
  • Camera focus is powered by ADS-B data from Flightradar24
  • Full HD PTZ camera with integrated ATC audio powered by CamStreamer

We are thrilled to introduce our first fully automated live stream now capturing the sights and sounds of takeoffs and landings at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A fully automated PTZ camera from CamStreamer is hosted by Las Vegas Airport Live 24/7 and powered by ADS-B data from Flightradar24. With integrated live ATC audio, this is as close as you can get to planespotting at the airport without actually being there.

How it works

The camera in Las Vegas is situated for amazing views of Runways 26L and 26R, but also captures the action on the airports other runways. Fully automatic aircraft tracking is provided by the PlaneTracker App from CamStreamer, running on the AXIS Q6225-LE PTZ camera using ADS-B from Flightradar24 to aim the camera and provide an on-screen overlay so you’ll always know what you’re looking at on screen.

Live ATC audio is integrated into the feed, capturing the interaction between pilots and the Las Vegas Airport air traffic control tower.

We’re looking for camera hosts

Las Vegas is our first live stream and there are additional streams in the works, but we’re looking for even more locations to stream to the world. Do you have a location on or next to an airport that would provide a prime spotting location for a camera? Do you want to spread joy and wonder to aviation enthusiasts around the world? 1. I wanted to inquire about possibly becoming a moderator for the stream to help with people who may cause disruptive behavior

  2. Amazing! With the amount of time plane spotting I’m about to do I may as well start preparing myself for a divorce now

  3. Technologically brilliant but a very dull airport. Almost every aircraft is a domestic flight and all you see are 737s and small Airbuses. The same Airlines are seen over and over.

    1. As there are 50 million PAX a year many are as you described but we get Condor ,Eurowings, Korean, KLM and many Canadian aircraft

  4. The only thing missing is the flight time and distance (not to the camera) who cares.

  5. great video, I enjoy it watching here in Belgium, Europe.
As a big fan of hauling plane engines, it wold be nice to be able to switch off the ATC sound and hear the actual plane sounds…

    1. Definitely need the plane sounds of the airport, it’s part of the immersion. Like the 24/7 cameras at LAX where it blends them together.

      1. And I am sure just as many don’t want to hear the aircraft versus clearly hearing the ATC.

  6. Checked it out last weekend. Loved it! The background view of the Las Vegas strip is very eye-catching too. Very unique! Thanks for doing this. Hopefully some more airports to come!

  7. I’ve been saying for quite some time that this technology needs to mandated by the FAA at every Class B and C airport. Just think how many incidents would be captured and evidence immediately provided to resolve/explain those incidents. Thank you FR24 for providing this!

  8. Great image quality, and great location.
Main thing in Vegas because there are so few heavies anymore, please try to capture them! In a sea of single isle planes, it’s nice to see heavies and 757’s which are becoming more and more rare.

  9. This effort is pretty amazing. The picture quality is superb. Some adjustments to ensure capture of heavy craft would be appreciated. Hosting, in any form, would be detrimental. I offer comments with best wishes for continued success.

  10. Please, no hosts. It’s almost perfect as it is, making it a game show would just be zero fun.

  11. The best possible moderator for this channel is Digidude. He is experienced, devoted to aviation, respectful of the audience and fun! Please seriously consider him.
