When we first released Flightradar24 over ten years ago, being able to click on an aircraft on a map and see basic flight information as it moved in real time was pretty much all there was. Today, we offer dozens of features, like historical data, detailed weather layers, aeronautical charts, and custom alerts to make flight tracking even better. These are some of our favorite features in Flightradar24 Gold to take your flight tracking to the next level.
More data, no ads
The first thing you’ll notice with your subscription is what isn’t there. All our subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience that never times out. Tracking flights for hours on end is no problem.
Clicking on a flight, you’ll see more data in the flight information panel on the left side of the screen. With a Gold subscription, get access to, additional aircraft information, Extended Mode S data, and air traffic control region information.
Become a time traveler
With a Gold subscription, you’ll have access to a full year of historical flight data, searchable by aircraft registration or flight number. You’ll also be able to see a year of global traffic with Playback. Just center the map on an an area and choose the date and time you want to see.
Be weather wise
One of the biggest factors affecting the path of flight is weather, either en route weather causing minor deviations or storms over an airport that cause diversions. Our weather layers help you understand how flights are being affected. Accessed via the Weather tab in Settings, Total precipitation and Intense precipitation are global layers. Intense precipitation displays storms around the world that are likely to affect the path of flights.
For flights in North America and Australia, high-resolution radar offers an even deeper look at how weather can affect air traffic.
Charts, tracks, and boundaries
With hundreds of thousands of flights taking to the sky each day there has to be some organization to where and how flights operate. Enter air traffic controllers and aeronautical charts. Our aeronautical charts, organized tracks, and air traffic control boundary map layers make it possible to see why flights are following a particular path and which air traffic controllers are currently responsible for the flight.

Custom alerts
Want to follow a particular flight? Maybe you’re interested in a specific type of aircraft coming to your local airport or there is special aircraft you want to follow every time it flies. With custom alerts you can set notifications for a flight, airline, aircraft type, or registration. Plus, add conditions like a geographic or altitude restriction. In the app, custom alerts send a push notification to your device or set alerts on the web and get notified via email.
See the world in 3D
Unlimited Enhanced 3D view lets you follow a flight with a 3D model of the aircraft and incredibly realistic terrain. Available on the web and in the app, Enhanced 3D lets you see nearby aircraft and airports as well. Just tap the 3D button after selecting a flight to begin tracking a flight in Enhanced 3D view.
