On 8 April 2015, American Airlines and US Airways took a major step in their merger integration when US Airways flight 774 was the last flight to use the “Cactus” radio callsign. Tomorrow, the two airlines mark the final major milestone in their integration with the last US Airways flight.
US Airways flight 1939 will make a multi-stop tour of the airline’s hubs before landing in Philadelphia as the last ever US Airways flight. From then on all US Airways flights will simply be American Airlines flights. Flight 1939 was chosen as it represents the founding year of All American Aviation, US Airways long-gone predecessor.

The flight will begin in Philadelphia and fly to Charlotte, Phoenix, and San Francisco, before returning to Philadelphia.
