In May, a pilot took to the skies over Poland to implore everyone to make beer, not war. This week, different pilots followed up with a message of their own: Make Friends, Not War. It’s unclear if the beer made by the previous pilot is involved in the making of friends in this case.
Pilots from SALT Aviation flight school flying from Aeroklub Ziemi Lubuskiej in western Poland flew near Berlin to write out their message. Working backwards from the 💛, the pilots took 2 hours 15 minutes to complete their work before returning to Poland.
The pilots flew a Diamond DA20-C1 Eclipse from SALT Aviation registered SP-KWH. The aircraft is a popular two-seat training aircraft used by flight schools around the world.
