New Flightradar24 Receivers for the Last Two Weeks of September

The last two weeks of September saw a flurry of receiver activations around the world. We expanded our coverage area on six continents and increase MLAT coverage in key locations while adding nearly 100 receivers.

In the Pacific, we expanded our coverage area with receivers in New Caledonia and Vanuatu. Our Australian coverage area also grew with the addition of a receiver in Northern Territory. In Asia we continued to expand our MLAT coverage in China, India, and South Korea.

In Europe, our MLAT coverage improved, especially in the north of the UK and along the Norwegian coast. We also activated a new receiver in Greenland, which will help with transatlantic coverage. We also activated four receivers in Africa, increasing our coverage area there. The additional coverage provided by the receiver in Uganda will be particularly helpful.

In the Americas, MLAT coverage expanded in many places in the United States and our coverage area expanded in the northwest of the country. Moving south, a group of new receivers added MLAT coverage in Brazil. We’re also very happy to have activated multiple receivers in Argentina.

Here’s the full map of all receivers activated during the last two weeks of September (click to enlarge).
