In April we tracked 4,685,054 flights, made possible by our global network of receivers. We activated over 120 new receivers in April, helping us add new areas of coverage on six continents. We also added new receivers that help us expand our MLAT coverage in important areas.

We added 5 new receivers in Namibia this month, increasing our coverage area there and providing some MLAT coverage. Four new receivers in South Africa are helping with MLAT coverage there as well. We also added receivers in Côte d’Ivoire and Kenya.

In Asia, we continued expanding our coverage in China and India as well as adding MLAT coverage in both countries. New receivers in Kazakhstan and Mongolia also added needed coverage this month.

In Australia and New Zealand we activated three receivers that are all contributing additional MLAT coverage.

In Europe, important new receivers are continuing to add coverage for long-haul flights. We activated a receiver on Bear Island in the Barents Sea, filling in a gap in coverage for polar flights. A new receiver in the Faroe Islands and in eastern Iceland are also helping with transatlantic flights.

In North America new receivers in eastern Canada and the United States are providing new coverage of transatlantic flights as well. We also activated important new receivers in the Seattle area. Four new receivers in Mexico are helping expand our coverage there.

In South America we activated multiple receivers in Brazil, Argentina, and Venezuela. We also activated a receiver in the Falkland Islands.
