New Flightradar24 ADS-B Receivers Activated in November 2016

In November, we activated over 100 new receivers, which helped us track 4,432,002 flights during the month. New receivers activated this month added important coverage in remote areas as well as helped us increase our MLAT coverage areas.

Adding to our arctic coverage, we activated a new receiver near Pond Inlet, Canada and one near Pevek, Russia. Moving south, new receivers in French Polynesia and Western Australia are filling previous gaps. In Africa, new receivers in Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, and Madagascar are adding needed coverage.

New receivers in China, Brazil, and United States also improved our MLAT coverage in those areas. Also in the US, we activated a new receiver in Mobile, Alabama, increasing our coverage of Airbus test flights there.

Here’s the full map of all receivers activated during November (click to expand).
