New Flightradar24 ADS-B Receivers Activated in May 2018

In May, we activated nearly 100 new Flightradar24 ADS-B receivers and hundreds of more home-built receivers connected to the Flightradar24 network for the first time. These new receivers and the tens of thousands of receivers all around the world already sharing data with our network helped us track nearly 5.5 million flights!

This month our receiver kits, which include everything needed to begin tracking flights, were activated to add coverage in places like Brazil, Nepal, and China. We also focused on increasing MLAT coverage in areas like the southwest United States. Each and every receiver becomes an important part of Flightradar24’s world-leading terrestrial ADS-B network.
