Set your sights on owning the skies with a brand new game powered by Flightradar24. Skycards is a digital collectible card game where players build decks featuring real-world aircraft. Collect as many different aircraft as you can to reach the top of the airport leaderboard and battle against other players for coins and bragging rights. The game is an addictive, real-time quest that is perfect for aviation enthusiasts, mobile gamers, and anyone in between.

How does Skycards work?
When you first open Skycards you’ll find yourself looking at live air traffic in your area. Click on any aircraft to begin collecting cards for your deck. When the capture window opens keep the aircraft inside the framing box for maximum points. When it turns green hit the capture button. View your results and save your card or try again for a better result.
Level up to unlock more photos, coin bonuses, and new game modes—like Battles, where you can play against other players for more coins. Use coins to increase the size of your radar, travel to different destinations to capture new, exciting aircraft, and buy additional photos.

In conversation with Skycards creator Olov Lindberg
We sat down with creator Olov Lindberg to learn more about how Skycards came to be and to get some tips and tricks for collecting achievements as quickly as possible.
FR24: What inspired you to create Skycards? Was it a love for aviation, gaming, or both?
OL: We’ve been brainstorming ideas for a Flightradar24 game for years. Many concepts came and went, but this one stuck. Once we had the idea, it felt like it simply had to happen.
How does real-time Flightradar24 data shape the gameplay experience in Skycards?
The real-time data is the heart of the game and gives it a unique connection to the real world. If you don’t catch the aircraft close to you, it will get away. It gives a sense of urgency that is hard to get in other games.
What kind of strategies can players adopt to succeed in the game?
A popular strategy is to purchase the two-hour “infinite photos” upgrade and travel in the game to a busy airport (unless you are lucky enough to live close to one). With so many planes to capture, you can easily earn more coins than you spent on the upgrade and the trip itself. It’s a great way to maximize your rewards and see aircraft in a different part of the world.
How have the gaming and aviation communities reacted to Skycards so far?
The response has been incredible! Millions of planes have already been captured, and we’ve received tons of positive feedback. Players have also shared a wealth of ideas for new features. We love the enthusiasm, so keep the suggestions coming!
What new features or updates can players look forward to in the coming months?
We’re working on enhancing the battle mode to make it more dynamic. There will be more achievements and missions to keep players challenged. Also, look out for Santa around Christmas, you might be able to catch him in Skycards!
What’s been the most rewarding part of creating and launching Skycards?
Developing a game takes a long time and when you’re working through the process it’s easy to feel doubt. Will the game be really fun to play, will it be challenging enough or too hard? To finally see people play the game and enjoy it is amazing. All the hard work paid off, and the best part—we get to keep working on the game to make it even better.

Definitely needs to be something involving the airlines. Percentage of fleet perhaps? Tracking down that elusive Ryanair 737-800!!!
Would like to see a VR mode where you capture the aircraft using the camera on your phone.
Downloaded yesterday after reading this article, it’s brilliant. Super fun game! 🙂
cant wait to download this onto my tablet when I get home from school
I’d like it if there were some basic instructions available. I just started with the game a few days ago and it would be very helpful to know how the scoring works.
This is great stuff! I would like to add it to my Discord Server—or at least some kind of leaderboard.
Airline Cards would be great! Thanks for the fun game. Habe not quite figured out to battle and why I‘ m so low in certain airport rankings…
Congratulations!
I downloaded it last week, and I’ve been playing every day since!
I would love if it linked both myFlightradar24 to be displayed and get route and plane info in a more dynamic way, as well as even capturing the plane I’m flying on and have it count more points. Something to think about, maybe!
See you in the game!
I love the game as I’m an avid plane spotter that just generally loves planes. the game is overall awsome and i play it at school at break and lunch. As you know FR24 has an AR mode so i think it would be cool for Sky cards to have an AR that you can take pictures on instead.
Why do you get less points if you capture an Aircraft in clouds rather than in a clear sky shouldn’t it be the other way round 🤷♂️
Great game full of challenges! Only part I haven’t figured out is how our Battle hand cards are dealt? I don’t have a chance against most players with my hand. Also don’t know why the other player gets a win if we both play the same card. Only one tie out of many plays.
What is the rarest plane that you’ve caught mine I forgot mine but I know that it has a 9.99 rare raiting
Very nice
HNY 😉 Great game! If and when do airlines /fleets become a collective item? When I travel; does the destination become my new “base location” for the time I’ll be there? Thks
I wish there was a way to see all the airports that I have unlocked, so that I can travel there when I choose to. Currently, you only seem to get a notification the moment when you unlock the airport.
I would also like to see how many times I’ve captured a specific card.
Having a lot of fun with this. I do think including airlines (and possibly registrations?) in some way would improve it even more. Only just downloaded it yesterday, but having a lot of fun!
This is my second review as I have a few more things to report back as there is a few things that are a bit quirky and don’t really work. I’ve also got a few questions about the game as well. Firstly is that there is a bug that needs sorted about the battles. As me and my freind have worked out, the battles would load once but the second time it wouldn’t load and would sit there with a “battle loading” screen. this is just a minor annoyance though as I am more into the catching them all style with a few ultras in the golden form. The second bug is a bit more annoying as when I was at Edinburgh Airport I loaded up Skycards and it showed a Ryanair that was on the ground right infront of me but it showed at 200ft and at 1 knot. so I caught it and then it came back up saying that it had landed! This isnt saying the game is bad though as I love it very much so, but there are a few tiny little niggles that keep coming back to me.
A question that me and my freinds are wondering is “when is the AR/IRL camera going to come to the game”? If there is an answer for this i would love to hear it and if also when it may be.
This is of course just a little bit more to add to the game for people to have fun with outside having to spot outside for these aircraft. I know that FR24 has an AR mode and I think that that would be good to have inside the game.
Almost every single aircraft inside the game has a good model exept from the only one I know of that is the eurofighter 2000 typhoon. If you look at it in golden ( which i have it in) its canards are wonky and it just looks a bit off but that is the only one iv’e found yet.
If you take this the wrong way i’m sorry but this is just a list of what I think needs to be done.
thank you for your time: That_One_Av_Lover?!
I would love to see a list of the registrations collected. For example, it would be good to see if I have collected all The Red Arrows for example.
It would also be good if you could show where Arctic and Antartic Circle are! I have had to guess which airports are within these regions.
I think you should add like a filter for planes, just like in the original FR24. It would make it easier to get on the XP leaderboard for a specific airport and not look through all of the planes in my range.
I think it shouldn’t be too hard to add, because you already have a ready model from FR24
Nice………………….
1- Why doesn’t Skycards display all aircrafts like in Flyradars 24?
2- Why more coins when the sky is clear, because it’s easier than cloudy sky?
Fantastic game. Very addictive. I spend approx 10hrs per day playing. I am a level 30 which appears to be the limit
Have you got plans to continue the levels,
Also. Will you be able to have a download card setting that will allow a user to save their card decks as pdf files.
love this game! its totally addictive – but to really enjoy some of the features it is very expensive, so get out your wallet!
I wanted to download the game on my iPad 10, but it says it isn’t compatible. Can i download it on my iPhone instead? Or is it only on other devices?
I would like this to have some incentive for airlines, companies, and liveries. I think the battle experience needs to have more than just one category per week. Perhaps make individual leagues for categories that can be joined whenever.
