Airspace closures following Israeli strikes on Iran

Following Israeli strikes on Iran in the early hours of 13 June, airspace in Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Israel is closed. Jordan, Syria, and Israel have severely limited flights, while Iran and Iraq have closed to all traffic. The closures affect approximately 3,000 flights per day through canceled flights or re-routes.

The first diversions away from Tehran were noted at 00:06 UTC while Iranian and Iraqi airspace was filled with hundreds of flights. Flights cleared the region over the subsequent two hours.

Airspace restrictions go into place

Iran and Iraq have fully closed their airspace. Jordanian airspace was closed completely for a period and then re-opened to aircraft with prior authorization and specific routing instructions. Syrian airspace was also closed completely, but aircraft are now allow transit on a few select airways. Israel has limited its airspace only to aircraft departing Israel to the west.
