On the evening of October 1, two Endeavor Air CRJ-900s operating for Delta Connection collided during low speed taxiing at New York’s La Guardia Airport just before 22:00 local time. Thankfully, only one minor injury was reported by a flight attendant on EDV5155.
EDV5047 was taxiing to the gate after landing at La Guardia (LGA) from Charlotte, while EDV5155 was taxiing to the runway for departure to Roanoke. EDV5047 taxied on TWY B to TWY M and was crossing TWY A when it was struck by EDV5155 on TWY A. Based on visual evidence the departing CRJ’s right wing struck the nose of the arriving aircraft. The FAA in a preliminary statement says, “Air traffic control instructed flight 5155 to hold short and yield to the other aircraft.”
The below photo was captured by a CBS News producer who happened to be onboard flight 5047.

Both flights were operated by Endeavor Air CRJ-900LR aircraft. Endeavor Air is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, operating flights under the Delta Connection brand.

Why will it take a year or more to figure this out and issue a report? It looks obvious. According to the tower.
What part of holding short did the departing aircraft’s pilot not understand?
The part where the controller said… “and “hold short” of…..!
Very interrestng reportages
The first is for all is to look arond.
Of course 👍
Another put the i-pad down and pay attention ” situation? With two pilots onboard one would think at least one of them would be paying attention to ATC’s taxi instructions.
Je n’y connais rien alors je me demande si les pilotes de l’un n’aperçoivent pas l’autre avion de façon a stopper avant la collision comme on le fait en bateau quand le navire non prioritaire ne modifie pas sa route collision.
It is always easy to critizize wen you are not in the situation. Better to want for Android official report that give us the facts. Not all the teori from the “sofs” fare always!
Pilot error someone asleep at the controls
And possibly looking for a new job?
Does “Look before crossing” (or entering) apply to a situation like this?
What happened to looking outside while taxiing.
Fog??
Wing severed? Tis but a scratch!!
[If Monty Python’s Black Knight was in aviation…]
Wouldn’t both pilots see each other and if one drove to far on the others path either contacted atc or move out the way??
Well, thankfully they were both on the ground and moving slowly. I shudder to think…!
I believe this is the ATC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAkuQIQLTzI

Glad they only had a minor injury—scary to think how easily taxi collisions at busy airports like LGA could get worse! Just hope the FAA digs into why the hold-short instruction didn’t prevent this, since I’ve had close calls watching planes taxi there before.
The DEI hires at Endeavor continues, along with the consequences. At least the plane didn’t end up upside down.
