To close out the year, we activated about 100 new receivers helping us track 4,303,978 flights during the month of December. New receivers activated this month are filling important coverage gaps and adding MLAT coverage in areas where many flights are not yet equipped with ADS-B.

New Flightradar24 Receivers Activated in July 2016

We activated over 150 new ADS-B receivers in July, which helped us for the first time track more than 5 million flights in a single month. A majority of the receivers activated this month have added new MLAT coverage, while many enlarged our coverage area.

New Flightradar24 Receivers Activated in June 2016

We activated nearly 200 receivers in June, adding new coverage to our extensive network. Our new and existing receivers allowed us to track over 4.8 million flights last month. While we’re experimenting with satellite-based ADS-B receivers, our terrestrial network will continue to be vitally important.
