3 Reasons to consider a Flightradar24 Business subscription

Would you like to join the thousands of aviation businesses and individuals already taking advantage of a Flightradar24 Business subscription?

As the name suggests, a Business subscription to Flightradar24 enables you to use our flight tracking data for commercial purposes, but also unlocks an array of exclusive features and benefits. What are they? Let’s take a look.

1. Turbocharge your flight tracking by unlocking the full power of ADS-B data

Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) technology doesn’t just tell us where aircraft are, it furnishes us with a vast array of information, received in real time by the aircraft. In addition to position, ground speed, track and altitude, Business subscribers can see data on an aircraft’s GPS altitude, true and indicated airspeed, and mach number where it is being requested by Air Traffic Control. You will also see the most recent temperature, and wind velocity (speed and direction) recorded by the aircraft.

2. Get a longer term view of where aircraft have been, and where they are now

Understanding the position of an aircraft is a flight tracking fundamental, but with a Business subscription, you can dive far deeper into an aircraft’s history. A business plan will unlock 3 years of historic flight information (compared to 1 year for Gold subscribers). This enables you to view data and flight paths for an aircraft’s flights over that time, as well as 3 years of Global Playback to reveal overall flight trends.

You can also access a list of aircraft tracked as landed at a particular airport. An aircraft will remain on the list until we can confirm that it has departed from the airport. This ‘Aircraft on ground’ feature is available for the last 90 days

It’s not all about the aircraft. A Business plan unlocks our Airport and Fleet views – only available to our Business subscribers. Airport view offers custom views for commercial airports around the world showing a map view and arrival and departure information. Fleet view shows a custom fleet view for airlines, showing a list of all airborne flights, map view and relevant flight and aircraft information.

3. Get the ultimate weather information – see what the pilots see

A Business subscription adds additional weather and airspace overlays to those already available in our Gold plan. Not only can you take advantage of our Gold-level weather layers (such as cloud and precipitation), you can also add layers to display phenomena like turbulence, icing, winds and lightning strikes at select altitudes. You can even view high level significant weather charts, and expandable AIRMETS and SIGMETS for detailed weather warnings. That’s the same information that pilots use in their pre-flight briefing.

Why is this important, you ask? Context. There are many factors that can influence the global movement of airplanes, and weather is probably the most common. If you see a group of aircraft flying holding patterns near an airport (or perhaps spot increasing delays on our Airport Disruption Index), why not activate our weather layers and see if it is likely a weather-related problem?
