FedEx 767 emergency landing at LAX

A FedEx 767 made an emergency landing in Los Angeles last week after an issue with its left main landing gear. We discuss the close coordination between the pilots and air traffic control to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.

State of the industry

Much of this episode deals with the stark reality facing airlines and the people that work for them at the moment. Traffic growth has slowed, airlines are making plans to keep schedules pared back for years, and thousands of people throughout the industry are facing furlough in the coming months. There are a few brights spots, but they were hard to find this week.

737 MAX update

Transport Canada will conduct test flights with the 737 MAX as part of their recertification efforts. The 737 MAX also got its first order of 2020 with Enter Air signing on for 2 firm orders plus 2 options.
