Frontier and Spirit to merge

Frontier and Spirit Airlines will merge to create an über-Ultra-low-cost carrier. Airline Weekly/Skift journalist Edward Russell joins us to discuss the dynamics of the proposed merger and what we can expect the new airline to look like.

The US Department of Justice is opposing a legal challenge by families of the victims of the two 737 MAX crashes to the deferred prosecution agreement the department reached with Boeing. The FAA has proposed new guidelines for the employees of aircraft manufacturers charged with certifying aircraft. The FAA is hosting cellular network engineers on flights designed to determine the effects on aircraft in real world settings. And Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian wrote to the Attorney General this week requesting the creation of a national no fly list for unruly passengers.
