The definition is, everything heavier than air, like an aircraft, flies. Lighter than air, like a gas balloon, drives through the air.

RE: Canada/US Transborder issue. You misunderstand. The direction of travel is much more important to consider in this than normal when assessing stats. Canadians are being strategic. We want to punish US Republican states because of Trump’s ‘51st State’ threats to our sovereignty, harassment at the border by the US, and inane tariff destruction of our Free Trade agreement _Trump signed_ 5 years ago and has now ripped up without warning. We don’t want to adversely affect our tourism industry by making the American people angry at us. So flights south from Canada to the US are being avoided because of US actions against us; the reverse direction is normal traffic.
