Qatar Airways (QR-QTR) is one of the premier carriers in the Middle East. Commencing operations in November 1993, today the airline has a vast short and long-haul network and a reputation for excellent customer service.
Let’s take a look at the Qatar Airways fleet and identify the newest and oldest aircraft in active service.

Qatar Airways’ newest widebody aircraft
The newest aircraft in the Qatar Airways fleet is A7-AOH, an Airbus A350-1000 built in October 2025. This aircraft has not operated any commercial flights at the time of writing, and we don’t yet have a picture of it. Below is an image of it’s (slightly) older sibling A7-AOG. This aircraft operates flights from Doha to destinations including Denpasar (DPS), Manchester (MAN) and Seoul (ICN).

Qatar Airways’ newest narrowbody aircraft
Whilst the bulk of the Qatar narrowbody fleet is made up of 27 Airbus A320 aircraft (which are anywhere between 8-14 years old), the newest narrowbody in the fleet is A7-AJG, an Airbus A321neo built in November 2025. This aircraft has thus far operated flights from Doha to Peshawar (PEW) and Multan (MUX). This is the latest of 6 A321neo jets delivered to the airline in late 2025. Once again, we don’t have a picture of this aircraft yet, but below is A7-AJF, which was delivered to the airline on November 22, 2025.

Qatar Airways’ oldest widebody aircraft
The oldest widebody aircraft in service at Qatar Airways is A7-AED, an 18 year-old Airbus A330-300 built in July 2005. Currently wearing the 2023 ‘Doha Expo’ livery, this aircraft often operates between 3 and 4 flights per day, which is uncommon for many widebody jets. The aircraft is often deployed on flights to Kathmandu (KTM), Jeddah (JED) and Cochin (COK).
Qatar Airways’ oldest narrowbody aircraft
The oldest operational narrowbody jet in the Qatar Airways fleet is A7-AHA. This Airbus A320-200 was built in November 2009, and operates up to three times daily, and frequently visits Peshawar (PEW), Goa (GOI), Belgrade (BEG) and Almaty (ALA).
