- Vienna, Scoot’s new destination.
- The Austrian capital will be added to its schedule for the first time.

Scoot Airlines, the low-cost subsidiary of the Singapore Airlines Group, announced it will begin operating between Singapore International Airport and Vienna starting June 3rd. As per its press release, the airline will fly three times a week on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft configured for 329/335 passengers in two seating classes.
Vienna will become Scoot’s second destination in Europe after Athens, which is also served from Singapore. Currently, in addition to the Greek capital, the low cost carrier also operates between SIN and Berlin via Athens four times weekly, but will suspend services to the German capital in order to adjust its network according to demand and optimize aircraft utilization. The last flight to Berlin is scheduled for March 28th, leaving Singapore – Athens – Singapore following the suspension.

The Singapore Airlines Group will return to Austria following almost 25 years, as the last Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and Vienna had been in the late 2000s. At that time, it served with Boeing 747-400s.
Austrian Airlines had been the last operator on this route, in early 2007.
Singapore serves 13 destinations in Europe (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Paris CDG, Rome and Zurich).

Furthermore, as Mr Leslie Thng commented, and as we also announced in our January 2025 Asia & Oceania report, Scoot Airlines will expand its operations in the Philippines with a new route to Iloilo effective April 14th.
The airline will serve three times per week from Singapore using Embraer E190-E2 aircraft configured for 112 passengers in single class. It will be Scoot’s fifth destination in the country after Angeles City (Clark), Cebu, Davao and Manila, which it offers 7, 7, 11 and 13 times weekly, respectively.

In accordance with the press release, as of June 29th, Scoot Airlines will increase from three to four times weekly, adding a new service on Sundays.
Currently, Cebu Pacific is the only operator between Singapore and Iloilo, providing three flights per week on 180-seat Airbus A320-200s. Angeles City Clark, Cebu, Iloilo and Manila are Cebu Pacific destinations from Singapore, offering 38 weekly services in the Singapore-Philippines market.
Vienna and Iloilo are not the only new Scoot routes.
Between mid-December 2024 and mid-January 2025, Phu Quoc, Padang and Shantou were added to the regular schedule of Singapore Airlines’ low-cost carrier, which in all three cases will be performed to/from SIN.
Services to Phu Quoc and Padang, Vietnam and Indonesia, respectively, will be performed on Embraer E190-E2s, while Singapore – Shantou, China, will operate by 180-passenger Airbus A320-200s.
