Scoot connects Vienna and Singapore

  • Vienna, Scoot’s new destination.
  • The Austrian capital will be added to its schedule for the first time.
  • Flights will be operated from Singapore with Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

Scoot Airlines, the low-cost subsidiary of the Singapore Airlines Group, announced it will begin operating between Singapore International Airport and Vienna starting June 3rd. As per its press release, the airline will fly three times a week on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft configured for 329/335 passengers in two seating classes.

Vienna will become Scoot’s second destination in Europe after Athens, which is also served from Singapore. Currently, in addition to the Greek capital, the low cost carrier also operates between SIN and Berlin via Athens four times weekly, but will suspend services to the German capital in order to adjust its network according to demand and optimize aircraft utilization. The last flight to Berlin is scheduled for March 28th, leaving Singapore – Athens – Singapore following the suspension.

Schedule between Singapore and Vienna · Scoot

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

The Singapore Airlines Group will return to Austria following almost 25 years, as the last Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and Vienna had been in the late 2000s. At that time, it served with Boeing 747-400s.

Austrian Airlines had been the last operator on this route, in early 2007.

Singapore serves 13 destinations in Europe (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Paris CDG, Rome and Zurich).
