  • Edinburgh and Madrid will get new jetBlue flights.

  • For the first time, Spain will enter the airline’s regular schedule.

JetBlue Airways continues to expand its intercontinental network, with a new route to Edinburgh, a destination already served by the carrier with seasonal services, and its arrival in Spain. Operations will commence on May 22nd, 2025 and will be performed during summer 2025, although the routes could be maintained year-round.

The airline will reach seven scheduled destinations from Boston Logan International Airport to Europe, five of which are seasonal. In addition to Edinburgh and Madrid, Amsterdam, Dublin and London Gatwick are the other three seasonal services, to start between March and May 2025, while London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle are offered throughout the year.

According to its website, jetBlue operates its flights to Europe with Airbus A321 Long Range aircraft configured for 138 passengers in two classes. 114 seats are in Economy Class, which includes 24 Even More® Space seats, and 24 seats in Business (22 Mint suites and 2 Mint Studio suites, with more space).

“Madrid and Edinburgh represent two of Europe’s most exciting and popular destinations, and we’re happy to offer even more transatlantic travel options for our customers from Boston and New England,” said Daniel Shurz, head of revenue, network and enterprise planning at JetBlue. “Europe continues to be part of our network strategy, as our loyal customers look for JetBlue’s signature service and low fares to bring them to top leisure destinations, including across the Atlantic.”

“Since launching flights to London in 2021, we’ve thoughtfully adjusted our European service to maximize value for our customers and our business,” said Shurz. “By aligning our schedule with peak seasonal demand and flying our aircraft to other destinations in the off-season, we’re capitalizing from a business perspective while delivering the destinations and experiences our customers love. This approach is driving meaningful results.”

Considering summer 2025, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Spain and the United Kingdom will be the European markets with regular jetBlue flights. Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, London Heathrow and Paris will have services from/to Boston and New York, while London Gatwick and Madrid will be provided only to/from BOS.

At the time of publication, the airline will have 91 weekly frequencies between the United States and Europe by summer 2025, the highest number since its entry into the European market in 2021. Boston will have 49 of these flights, and New York the remaining 42.
