AirAsia X will return to Europe with a route connecting three countries.
Starting June 26th, the airline will launch the Kuala Lumpur – Bahrain – London Gatwick route and vice versa, which will operate daily on Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a capacity for 367 passengers. AirAsia X has traffic rights for all legs, including Kuala Lumpur-Bahrain and vice versa, Kuala Lumpur-London and vice versa, and Bahrain-London and vice versa.

Qantas will make history by launching flights to Las Vegas.
For the first time, Sydney will be connected to the US city via regular non-stop flights, which will be conducted by Qantas during the Australian summer 2026/27 (North American winter 2026/27).
The first flight is scheduled for December 29th and the last for March 12th, 2027, as, at least for now, they will be seasonal.

Qantas will operate with 236-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Porter
The airline continues to strengthen its connectivity between Canada and the United States, with two new routes from Toronto, but from different airports.
As of May 21st, Porter will introduce a new service between Toronto Pearson and Austin, which will be conducted with 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. On September 1st, it will begin flying between Toronto Bishop and Chicago O’Hare using Dash 8 Q-400 aircraft.

Aerolíneas Argentinas
Due to the World Cup 2026, Argentina’s flag carrier will introduce two new routes between Argentina and the United States starting in June, to be operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft configured for 170 passengers.
In our last route report, we announced the return of the Córdoba-Miami service, which will be provided by Aerolíneas Argentinas, and these two other Argentine cities will be connected to Florida for at least two months.

The Mexican airline will return to the Ecuadorian capital on March 23rd, following an absence of almost two years. These flights will be performed from the Mexican capital on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, making it the only airline to operate in the Mexico-Ecuador market.

Papua New Guinea’s largest airline will fly to Fiji.
Beginning March 29th, Air Niugini will operate flights between Port Moresby, the country’s capital, and Nadi with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Fiji’s third-largest city will be added to Air Niugini’s schedule as follows:

Air Congo, the Kinshasa-based airline owned by Ethiopian Airlines, is planning an international expansion in Africa, starting operations between Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Africa on March 22nd.

The A350-900 will replace the Boeing 777-200(LR) and Boeing 777-300(ER), currently operating this route. According to the Emirates website, Airbus A350s will serve to/from Dubai year-round.
