Delta Air Lines confirmed the launch of its first route between Orlando and the United Kingdom. These flights will be performed during 2024/25 winter season with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft configured for 281 passengers, offering the airline’s four products (Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin).
Beginning October 29th, Delta will inaugurate services to London Heathrow from Orlando Airport. The company will operate four weekly flights, which represents 1,124 seats a week per leg, for a total of almost 5,000 monthly seats on each segment.
London will become Delta Air Lines’ second intercontinental destination from MCO in winter 2024/25. The carrier offers seasonal services between Orlando and Amsterdam using the same planes, as of October.
Meanwhile, Delta currently has at Heathrow Airport seven connections to/from the United States. Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York JFK, Salt Lake City and Seattle are its routes at publication time.

In the United States-Europe market, Delta Air Lines currently has 637 services per week on each leg.
Delta will add a new route between Florida and Europe commencing in October, as well as Orlando-London. Effective October 26th, the airline will launch flights to Amsterdam from Tampa, which will be operated with Airbus A330-900neo planes.
By winter 2024/25, Delta Air Lines will have three scheduled routes in this market, including the two new additions (Orlando – Amsterdam, Tampa – Amsterdam and Orlando – London Heathrow).
Delta’s flights to/from the U.K. are operated in conjunction with joint venture partners Virgin Atlantic, Air France and KLM. Delta and Virgin Atlantic will jointly operate nearly 200 weekly services from London Heathrow to 14 U.S. destinations this winter, including Miami, Tampa and Orlando in Florida and Delta’s hubs in Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York JFK, Seattle and Salt Lake City. In addition, Virgin Atlantic offers year-round flights from Manchester and seasonal services from Edinburgh to Orlando.
