CSA Czech Airlines to cease flying on October 26th

Days before its 101st anniversary, CSA Czech Airlines, the flag carrier of the Czech Republic, will perform its last scheduled operations. The cessation of flights is a consequence of several factors, including major financial crises, the start of new low-cost competitors and the Coronavirus pandemic.

The airline has one active Airbus A320-200, which has a sticker for its 100th anniversary, celebrated on October 29th, 2023. Its only operational A320 has the registration OK-HEU, while the other has been in Sofia (Bulgaria) since the beginning of October, after a ferry flight from Bacau (OK-IOO).
