Air France continues to expand its US network with Orlando

Air France has announced a new destination to the United States, which it will offer during summer 2025.

The airline will begin flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orlando starting May 21st, 2025, to be provided four times a week with Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured for 324 passengers in three classes (34 Business, 24 Premium and 266 Economy).

Orlando will join Atlanta, Boston, Chicago O’Hare, Dallas Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Newark, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC, Air France’s current U.S. destinations, all of which are performed from/to CDG.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

 

Air France will operate in 18 US cities, bringing the total number of destinations in North America to 22, including Canada.

Aer Lingus inaugurates operations to Las Vegas

On October 25th at 17:49 local time, Aer Lingus’ inaugural flight from Dublin landed at Harry Reid International Airport. The company will fly to Las Vegas using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

The Irish capital becomes Las Vegas’ fourth regular destination to Europe at publication time, after Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London Gatwick/Heathrow.

Air Canada to restart VancouverBeijing route

The company has confirmed through a press release the resumption of operations between Vancouver and Beijing as of January 15th, 2025, in addition to increasing frequencies on the Vancouver – Shanghai route.

In both cases, Air Canada will operate with 298-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Allegiant launches regular flights by Boeing 737 MAX 8-200

The first scheduled Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 flight of Allegiant Air departed on October 20th at 13:49 local time. Following several months of delay, the carrier commenced service by this aircraft, with plans to add three more before the end of the year.

Allegiant’s original plan was to operate 12 737 MAX 8-200s in its fleet by 2024, but the number was reduced to four due to delivery delays. The airline placed an order for 50 737 MAX aircraft in January 2022.

As per our database, the first regular flight was G4 2833 between Orlando Sanford and Greenville Spartanburg International Airport (GSP).

The company returned to incorporate a Boeing aircraft after 7 years, when it had modified to an all-Airbus fleet.

American Airlines starts service between Dallas and Brisbane

At 04:55 local time on October 28th, American’s first flight from Dallas landed in Brisbane. The company will perform five weekly services on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, being the only operator on this route.

As well as being the only airline with operations, Dallas – Brisbane will be American Airlines’ longest route, reaching nearly 16 hours on the DFW-BNE leg, and almost 15 hours on the BNE-DFW segment.

Brisbane becomes the company’s third regular destination in Oceania.

Advanced Air

New route to Vegas.

The company plans to begin services between Las Vegas (Executive Airport) and Gallum as of November 4th. At the time of publication, Advanced Air will operate two flights a week on 9-passenger Beechcraft aircraft.

Aer Lingus

In addition to the new route to Las Vegas, the Irish airline announced it will operate to Indianapolis and Nashville from Dublin during summer 2025. Aer Lingus will serve as of April and May 2025, using Airbus A321neo jets with 184 seats.

The Mexican carrier continues to expand its services to the United States, launching Phoenix on March 30th, 2025. As per its website, Aeromexico will fly daily from Mexico City with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Charters to Puerto Vallarta.

Alaska Airlines is scheduled to operate service from Milwaukee during winter 2025, offering one flight per week on this route with Boeing 737-900ER planes. The first charter will be on January 25th, 2025.

American

For winter 2024/25, American Airlines will have flights between Dallas and Orlando with wide-body aircraft. According to its website, services will commence on December 19th, and will run through early January 2025.

Flight AA 1386 will operate on Boeing 777-200(ER) and flight AA 2713/3089 using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Furthermore, the company will expand its Cape Cod operations with two new regular routes to Hyannis.

American will fly from Chicago O’Hare and Philadelphia starting in June 2025, on 76-seat Embraer 175s.

Lakeland, Avelo Airlines’ sixth base.

On October 24th, the airline opened a new base at Central Florida’s Lakeland International Airport, which joins Burbank, New Haven, Wilmington (ILG), Raleigh-Durham and Santa Rosa (STS).

Avelo launched, in late October, four routes from Lakeland (Concord, Manchester MHT, Rochester and San Juan SJU), being the first services with LAL-based aircraft. The company reaches five regular destinations:

Breeze Airways will perform these flights by Airbus A220-300s with a capacity of 137 passengers.

Delta

Beginning January 6th, 2025, Delta Air Lines will launch operations between Boston and Sao Paulo, becoming the airline’s fourth destination at Guarulhos Airport.

These services will replace LATAM’s flights on this route, which it provides three times weekly on 247-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Delta will also offer three operations a week, but with Airbus A330-300s configured for 282 passengers.

Monday, Thursday and Friday

 

Atlanta, Detroit and New York are its current destinations from Sao Paulo.

In addition, Delta will introduce Boeing 767-300(ER)s on four domestic routes, all to/from New York JFK.

The carrier will start flights between Frankfurt and Minneapolis effective May 2nd, 2025. Lufthansa, which currently performs this route, will transfer operations to Discover, another airline of the group.

At 14:47 local time on October 29th, Flair’s inaugural service from Waterloo arrived in Orlando. The Canadian airline will offer this route with Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, under the following schedule:

Orlando becomes Flair’s sixth U.S. destination following Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York JFK and San Francisco.

French Bee

As of April 30th, 2025, the French carrier will inaugurate flights to Canada.

French Bee will operate between Paris Orly and Montreal on Airbus A350-900 aircraft four times weekly, increasing to five services a week on July 5th, 2025.

Frontier

For winter 2024/25, Frontier will add many new routes within the United States.

Hawaiian

As well as the charter service from Papeete to Los Angeles, Hawaiian schedules an additional flight between Kahului and San Francisco with an Airbus A330-200. The airline provides this route on 189-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Korean Air

Beginning December 1st, Korean Air will resume operations between Seoul Incheon and Honolulu using the 325-seat Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, replacing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners seating 278 passengers.

Norse

In addition to the new Rome – Los Angeles route, announced in this article, Norse Atlantic Airways will have more frequencies to Los Angeles from Oslo, its other seasonal service.

The new flights will start on June 17th, 2025, and will continue until late August 2025.

OSL – LAX (increases from 2 to 3 weekly)

Norse will begin services on May 22nd, 2025, with the 338/344-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Qantas

As mentioned in our Asia/Oceania report, Qantas will resume flights to Dallas with Airbus A380-800s from August 11th, 2025.

The airline will have seven weekly services between Sydney and Dallas Fort Worth, of which four will be on A380s and the remaining three by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner jets.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays it will operate with 485-passenger Airbus A380s.

Two new routes from Washington DC.

Effective December 3rd, United Airlines will launch operations between IAD and South Bend on Embraer 175s, a route to be inaugurated by Breeze Airways on November 8th. In accordance with its website, services will be performed once per day.

On the other hand, the airline will start flights to Salt Lake City from Washington Dulles beginning March 6th, 2025, offering a daily operation by 166-seat Boeing 737-800 planes.

Virgin Atlantic

From July 11th, 2025, Virgin Atlantic will boost its services between London Heathrow and Orlando, reaching 17 flights a week by summer 2025. The airline will operate this route with Airbus A330-300, Airbus A330-900neo and Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.

ZIPAIR

New route between Asia and Houston.

The Japanese airline will commence flights from Tokyo Narita as of March 4th, 2025. ZIPAIR will offer, according to its website, four weekly frequencies by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, configured for 290 passengers in two classes.
