On 24 October 2008, Airbus delivered A380 MSN 013 to Emirates as A6-EDB. Later this October, Airbus could deliver pieces of the aircraft to you. On 13-15 October, Airbus will auction off components, fixtures, and parts from the dismantled aircraft to raise money for the Airbus Foundation.
The life Airbus A380 MSN 013

Emirates took delivery of MSN 013 in October 2008, part of an early batch of A380 deliveries to the airline. A6-EDB entered service weeks later and had the honor of operating Emirates’ first commercial A380 service to London-Heathrow. Emirates operated A6-EDB from 2008 to 2020, retiring the aircraft from passenger flying on 23 February 2020 with a final flight from Muscat to Dubai. After retirement preparations, MSN 013 flew from Dubai to Tarbes in southern France on 27 October 2020 where it was dismantled.
Own your own piece of MSN 013
Over three days Airbus will auction off pieces from the aircraft and other A380 associated items. From seats to galley carts, overhead bins to sidewall panels, engine fan blades to the pilots’ side sticks, there are a wide variety of items available to bid on. Additionally, Airbus commissioned artists for special pieces on some of the fan blades from the GP7270 engines.
In many previous auctions of aircraft memorabilia and parts, the bidding has focused on smaller pieces, like galley carts, signage, and seating. In this auction, there are quite a few larger pieces available as well, like an aileron, flap fairing, and even an engine inlet nacelle. From the interior of the aircraft, the Business class bar will be auctioned in its entirety. The auction site provides a helpful shipping calculator as well, assuming you’re not local to Toulouse.
Supporting the Airbus Foundation
The Airbus Foundation is Airbus’ philanthropic arm, facilitating work around the world—often in the wake of natural disasters, like the provision of hurricane and earthquake relief. It also supports numerous youth organizations focused on getting kids interested in the sciences.
Which part of MSN 013 do you want?
We’re partial to the nacelle and side stick ourselves, but what part of the A380 do you want? Let us know your favorite items up for bid in the comments.

I would like a fan blade. But E1,500 for shipping to New Zealand puts it *just* out of reach.
I do like comment on the toilet seat: “An invitation to travel.”
I would like to own six red wine glasses, great talking point at any dinner party.
I would like any inexpensive part because I don’t have much money
Interested in a pitot tube from the 380.
The builders plates for the engines and airframe. Also, the Collins radio.
How are the engine fan blades for sale? I thought the engines were essentially owned by the manufacturers and on a supply and maintenance contract. Anyway, it would be odd if they were be end-of-life/due for major maintenance at the same time the aircraft was scrapped, rather than being moved relatively easily to another a/c?
