On Thursday, 4 January, a massive blizzard hit the northeast United States, impacting travel along the east coast from Maine to Miami. In our first ever YouTube Live event, AvTalk hosts Ian Petchenik and Jason Rabinowitz are joined by aviation journalist Seth Miller to talk about how the blizzard affected airline operations, including some diversions to far away airports, and how airlines are recovering. Our discussion of recovery may have been premature as Friday night into Saturday morning, some flights have waited over 5 hours for a gate, while one flight, Air China 989 waited 7 hours.
